Even though everyone sings the "Happy Birthday" song at birthday parties, most people don't know where the song came from.

Sisters, Mildred and Patty Hill wrote the song, "Good Morning to All" as a good morning song for school children.

Another sister, Jessica, then published the song in 1935.

A company called Time Warner then paid $25 million for the song in 1988.  Every year, Time Warner actually earns about $2 million every year from this song.  Therefore, anytime the song is sung or played by anyone, Time Warner should actually be paid, since they own the song.

Of course, people sing "Happy Birthday" everyday, and they are not paying Time Warner.  Lets hope Time Warner doesn't know about this.
